Provide a non-judgemental, curious space and strengths-based perspective
Use a collaborative framework that strives to build a strong therapeutic alliance, upholds the voice and agency of children and actively works with parents/caregivers, educators and other health professionals.
Use a cross-cultural framework that amplifies non-western approaches to mental wellbeing including in the context of parenting. I recognise the role of culture and tradition in parenting practices and acknowledge the impact & challenges of parenting within a western culture.
Use an intersectional framework that acknowledges and examines how lived experience is shaped by interconnected social categories.
Use a neurodiversity paradigm that is neuroaffirming and endeavors to eliminate ableist practices.
